Conservation Volunteering in the Blackwater Valley

The Blackwater Valley is a valuable area for wildlife along the River Blackwater located on the borders of Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire .  Much of the conservation work in the Valley is done by volunteer s, who  carry out an extensive range of different practical tasks, including pond clearing, hedge laying, fencing, scrub clearance, footpath work, woodland work and much more. The groups also organise social events such as walks, talks and visits and most of them produce regular newsletter.
