Fleet Flower Club

When:

Meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Memorial Hall, Sandy Lane, Church Crookham. Doors open 7.15pm for an 8.00pm start.

What:

We have a varied agenda of flower demonstrations of both modern and traditional styles arranged by experts, as well as workshops where you can learn new ways to arrange flowers and foliage to help you create ideas for use at home.
At each meeting we have a Floristry Sales Table, and a Raffle of the demonstration flowers.
We hold monthly competitions and our Annual Show each year provides the opportunity for our members to show of their talents in flower arranging.

Looking back at 2016 & ahead in 2017:

2016 saw us celebrate our 45th anniversary. We marked the year with increasing our presence on social media beyond Facebook to include Twitter and Instagram find us @FleetFlowerClub , and having a new website
www.fleetflowerclub.co.uk

We supported local church flower festivals and created beautiful arrangements for St Mary’s Church in Hartley Whitney, and for the Church of Our Lady in Fleet. We also created arrangements for the Lions Club 100th anniversary celebrations at the Church on the Heath.

We participated in National Flower Arranging Day with an arrangement at the Church on the Heath, and left arrangements around Fleet as part of “The Lonely Bouquet” for people to pick up and take home. We also left a special “Lonely Bouquet” at The Vyne in Basingstoke to commemorate the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations.

In July, we had a stall at Fleet Carnival’s Family Day where you could create a small arrangement and learn more about Fleet Flower Club.

2017 will see our Annual Show take place in July and we look forward to supporting once again some of the local churches and charities with their events.

We are always pleased to welcome new members; why not come along and see what you can do with flowers. Visitors - £6 on the door.
