FLEET ANIMAL WELFARE is a small group that endeavours to help  relieve the suffering of animals in any way we can. If you are concerned about animals in any way, shape or form, then please consider joining us.

We have the names and telephone numbers of various species of animal sanctuaries if you are looking for a help or a pet. We always urge people to obtain an animal from a sanctuary rather than a breeder. If you are looking for a special breed, they can be found in sanctuaries, because many pedigree animals are discarded.

We support a number of professional animal organisations such as Animal Aid, NAVS (National Anti-vivisection Society) BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection) CIWF (Compassion in World Farming) and VIVA! (Vegetarians International Voice for animals) and DLRM (Doctors and Lawyers for Responsible Medicine) Michael Mansfield is one of our lawyers.

We campaign sometimes in Fleet and sometimes in Aldershot.

Occasionally there is a lobby of parliament which those who are not working (or can get a day off) lobby their MP.

We are seeking volunteers to help in this work. You will meet and make friends and also have the satisfaction of actually doing something positive for the animals. If you are appalled by the extent of animal suffering and don't know what action you can take to change the situation, why not join us.

Age does not matter - there is always something one can do to help animals like writing letters, etc. We strive towards the abolition of animal suffering through peaceful demonstrations, information stalls, and fundraising. We also liaise with other groups.

If you are interested or decide there is something you can do towards helping animals in any way and require further information our telephone number is 01252 674930. E-mail fred.adams@ntlworld.com

We - along with thousands of others - are the voice of the voiceless.
