Shoppers Keeping Fleet in their Heart.

The businesses of Fleet have all got together this month to show that Fleet has anything your Heart desires.  With over 200 businesses offering great service every day and for this romantic time of year over 100 businesses supplying great ideas for Valentines Day we are happy to say that Fleet is the place to come to.

"We wanted to show the public that Fleet is not just a place for a quick convenience shop, but is truly a place for all your shopping needs." says Kevin Whibley from Captured Moment who has recently been re-elected chairman of the Fleet Business Partnership. 

In this their first promotion since the highly successful coordination of the Fleet Festivities back in November the group are urging us to "Love Your Local Retailer."

"This is a simple promotion, the like of which we aim to do many times in the year, we have plenty of major event ideas but day to day we need to remind people of the choice and value that shopping locally gives."

"Even I was surprised at the number of businesses that could offer something specific for Valentines Day, we have of course plenty of scope for flowers and chocolates, jewellery, underwear, fine wines and champagne can always be found but we wanted people to see other options. Granted not many people will choose a New Kitchen or Bathroom as a gift idea, but you never know and it is great to remind people we do have everything on one street.  Vouchers can always be brought from opticians for that new pair of glasses they have always wanted, or from beauty and hair salons for that special treat why not a picnic basket for a romantic day out.  Have you considered planning a fun evening pottery painting. Or perhaps having photos taken.  In all this we should not forget an excellent range of pubs and restaurants for a great evening out."

Shops that have ideas to offer have displayed a Heart in their window with "Love Your Local Retailer."  These businesses can be found the length of Fleet Road and through out the Hart Shopping Centre.

The appropriately named Haart Estate agents have sponsored this promotion, “It is great to be given the opportunity to be part of a local promotion such as this.”
