The Fleet & Church Crookham in Bloom Committee made up of representatives from appropriate voluntary organizations and Hart District Council was formed early in 1999 with the aim of helping to enhance the appearance of our towns for the new millennium.
In 1999 the Committee organized competitions for Best Shop in Fleet Road and Best Public House in Fleet & Church Crookham whilst Hart District Council embarked on a programme of enhancing street furniture and floral containers together with associated improvements to the parks and open spaces in Fleet & Church Crookham.
Encouraged by local support the range of competitions has been extended and Fleet and Church Crookham now enters the Southern England in Bloom Competition each year.
