Hampshire Families consists of volunteers, and staff who
care about Hampshire’s children.
Our volunteers include:
- Parents
- Those working in childcare and
development
- Health professionals
- Community development officers
- Teachers and head teachers
- Pre-school supervisors
- Social services representatives
They give their time to promote a common aim – to help all children in
Hampshire make the best off their childhood and fulfill their potential.
We :-
- Hold termly meetings within 20
geographical areas of Hampshire
- Hold events to meet as many families and
children as possible
- Publish termly newsletters to keep
families informed as to what is going on in their area of Hampshire

HH staff are there to bring together parents and professionals: to decide
what should be done to improve life for their community., and then to make
it happen.
In the past, issues raised have included:-
- A lack of health checks for 3 year olds
- A shortage of pre-school places in the
area,
- Insufficient one-to-one helpers for
children with special needs
- Difficulty accessing play schemes in the
summer
- The lack of safe play areas
- The problems of bullying
- The poor quality and choice of
activities for young teenagers in the county.
